A beautiful high quality hotel Friendly helpful and efficient staff Delicious breakfast including a good choice of gluten free foods. We had a junior suite at the front of the hotel which gave us a great view of the beach and the sound of the sea.The bed was huge with super comfortable pillows and additional bedding in the closet. Tamara knowledgeably guided us through wine tasting of 3 local wines ; white, rose and red and accompanying snacks. All the wines were lovely although my preference is for red. We used the hotel shuttle to travel to Taormina which cost 5 Euros each way per person. I understand you can also get a bus which costs less but the hotel service was convenient , comfortable and prompt and I would recommend its use. Local restaurants and bars are also worth a visit. Florian which is more or less opposite to the hotel was particularly good. If I was asked what could be improved, I can truly say nothing.The location, service, decor, furnishings and food are all excellent and I hope to stay at this hotel again.

What a great week in the Albatros Beach Hotel

There are many reasons I have rated this hotel as excellent, but the main one has to be the staff. All the staff were fabulous from start to finish, well done! We went on a package trip with Easyjet in a "promo" room so expected to be tucked away at the back, but we had a full sea view from our room. The room was on the small side, but the view from the balcony more than made up for it. Breakfast in the mornings was the same everyday, but of very good quality and with plenty of choices. the location of the hotel was perfect in Letojanni with the beach right outside the hotel and I found Letojanni itself much better (and cheaper) to be based in than Taormina. You could get to Taormina on the bus for 3 Euro's return and if you sat on the right side of the bus, the views are stunning along the way. We also caught a train from Letojanni to Messina for 11 Euros return. The reception staff helped us with information, booking trips and restaurant reservations and recommendations. The bed and pillows were very comfy and the shower was one of the best I have had while travelling. The icing on the cake was the unexpected bottle of bubbly and strawberries in chocolate the hotel left for us for our wedding anniversary! If you are considering this area, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel. Immaculately clean. Excellent food with waiter service. Staff were really good. Special mention to Lucy and Tino in the restaurant. We were with Saga Holidays and our host Trina was very helpful too.Letojanni is a small resort and was quiet when we were there however there were still bars and restaurants open and local shops. Easy bus ride into Taomina. There is a railway station for trips further afield.
